Dancing must be one of the most enjoyable ways to stay fit, to release stress and to maintain and promote physical, mental and cognitive health, as well as to increase self-confidence.

Information on the RSCDS website describes studies that have found dance increases aerobic power, muscle endurance, muscle strength and flexibility in all age groups. Findings also show that dance can have a positive effect on quality of life and mood, and that it could reduce anxiety and depression.
